With over 20 years of invaluable experience in the environmental and construction industry, Amie Sommer is at the helm of Tutka’s daily operations. Armed with a B.A. in Environmental Science, she plays a pivotal role as the business’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Amie’s unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen makes her an outstanding negotiator and contract administrator for Tutka’s Government Contracts. Working closely with contracting officers and agencies, she ensures strict compliance with all contracts’ local, state, and federal regulations. Her extensive HAZWOPER, RCRA, and DOT training further reinforce her commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.

Amie’s background is in environmental remediation and hazardous waste removal projects, ranging from small waste removals to large-scale remediation endeavors in Alaska and the Lower 48. As a field sampler, regulatory specialist, and project manager, she has showcased her versatility by successfully executing projects in remote locations of Alaska.

With her unwavering dedication to environmental excellence, Amie Sommer continues to lead Tutka towards a brighter, more sustainable future in the construction industry.
