Anchor Point and Deep Creek Recreation Area Repair

Anchor Point and Deep Creek State Recreation Areas received disaster relief funding for repairs to their shorelines after severe storms in 2017 caused extreme erosion. These repairs are near completion with a total of 2500 feet of shoreline reinforced with armor rock to help protect against coastal erosion.

These popular recreation areas help support the diverse economy of the Kenai Peninsula and offer camping, beach-combing, and boat launch services that provide access to Cook Inlet sport fisheries.
